I enjoyed my dinner experience at Ichiban Izakaya restaurant. This hidden gem is located nearby to downtown St. Pete. The sashimi was very fresh and sushi rolls were delicious. My favorite was the sweet shrimp nigiri. There’s interior dining and I love the Japanese themed decor. Service was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back! Also, check out their happy hour and lunch specials. Plenty of lot parking available.

I came in with my girlfriends and ordered the Volcano Roll, and it was absolutely delicious. It was topped with three different types of fish and caviar and filled with imitation crab, and avocado. The flavors were incredible, and every bite was perfectly balanced. I especially loved the sauce that accompanied the roll. I requested a little extra on the side, and it made the dish even better. I also ordered a side of miso soup and a salad, which complemented the meal perfectly. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I would definitely order the Volcano Roll again. Calvin and Angle were our sushi chefs and were so friendly and easy on the eyes ladies 😜

Visiting from Massachusetts, where we’re lucky to have high standards for authentic cuisine, I have to say Ichiban Izakaya truly impressed us. Every dish we ordered was extremely flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. You could immediately taste the freshness and quality in every bite. The sushi was especially outstanding — beautifully presented, vibrant in color, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. Each roll tasted balanced and carefully crafted, not just visually appealing but genuinely delicious. Our entire party was beyond happy with the experience. From freshness to flavor, Ichiban Izakaya exceeded expectations. We’ll absolutely be back the next time we’re in town!

Came here for lunch with my son. From the outside it looks a little sketch but as soon as you walk in, the interior is very nice. We were welcomed in by the sweetest lady, and were the only ones there for a late lunch. The music playing was nice, adding more to their ambience. They have a great lunch special (2 rolls for $14.95) for their basic rolls. We ordered 2x California rolls which comes with miso soup, a spicy salmon handroll, otoro nigiri, salmon nigiri, tako wasabi, edamame, and their cheesecake for dessert. The miso soup was great- perfect ratio of tofu/seaweed and it wasn’t overly salty like some places make it. Tako wasabi- delish!! I havent seen a place that serves this in the area so I was excited to try it and was not disappointed. Edamame- not overly salty and perfectly cooked with garlic, salt, and pepper for seasoning. Otoro nigiri & salmon nigiri- fresh and tasty. Def great quality esp for the price. California roll- my son loved it and said this was his favorite sushi place now. I originally ordered the uni handroll but they were out of uni (I was extremely disappointed bc its hard to find uni here too). I ended up ordering the spicy salmon handroll and

Flavorful and fresh! Had the Dragon and Tuna rolls, omg they were sooo good! 🤤 Tried the Chicken Panang Curry, it had the perfect amount of spice and just so tasty! Miso soup to start and just beautiful presentation! Hot Sake that soothed my soul! Great service and nice energy def recommend 100% for amazing food and vibes 😁 Just delicious!!
